PR Manager, Benelux

Part of the International Business Public Relations (PR) team and Robert Half’s larger global Corporate Communications function, this hands-on role develops and implements the PR strategy across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, contributing to the company’s overall external communications initiatives with a goal of raising the profile of Robert Half and its divisions to all media and stakeholders while maintaining the integrity of the organization’s corporate identity.
The successful candidate will help raise the profile of Robert Half and its divisions through strategic media relations, thought leadership, spokesperson support and agency management, while maintaining the integrity of the organization’s corporate identity and brand.
What You’ll Do
Media Relations
- In conjunction with the International Business PR team and line manager, develop and execute the Benelux PR strategy to position Robert Half as an industry thought leader
- Build and maintain strong relationships with national, business, trade and vertical media across the region.
- Proactively identify and secure media opportunities focused on labour market trends, hiring insights, workforce issues and economic developments.
- Work with agency partners to secure earned media coverage, develop media angles and maximize the impact of thought leadership campaigns.
- Lead proactive and reactive media relations activities, including media inquiries, issue management and crisis communications support.
- Support global and international survey programs by identifying local story angles and opportunities that resonate with Benelux audiences.
- Represent the region on global communications and PR initiatives.
- Monitor, analyze and report on media performance, share of voice and overall PR impact.
Agency Management
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for the PR agency, providing clear direction, priorities and feedback.
- Manage agency deliverables, timelines and performance to ensure results align with business objectives.
- Partner with agency teams on strategic planning, media outreach, thought leadership campaigns and reporting.
Spokesperson & Interview Support
- Prepare executives for media opportunities, including briefings and message development
- Develop briefing documents, messaging, talking points and supporting materials.
- Assess reputational and media risks associated with opportunities and provide recommendations as appropriate.
- Support media training and coaching initiatives for spokespeople across the region.
- Attend interviews when needed and provide structured feedback to support continuous improvement.
Content Development
- Write and edit press releases, media pitches, bylines, and thought leadership content
- Support the International Business thought leadership programs from a local perspective (e.g. the annual Salary Guide, among others), including content development
- Translate labour market data, business insights and research findings into compelling media and thought leadership content.
- Ensure all content is accurate, on-brand, audience appropriate and aligned with company messaging.
Corporate Communications
- Support regional initiatives including awards, community programming, recognition programs, and employer brand efforts
- Partner with Marketing and HR on events, presentations, and Great Place to Work program
- Assist with conference materials, executive presentations and client event content as required.
What You Bring
- 5-7 years of experience in PR or communications, ideally within professional services, staffing, consulting, financial services or another B2B environment.
- Strong media relationships and experience securing coverage across national, business and trade media.
- Experience managing external agencies and multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading and storytelling skills.
- Experience supporting executives and preparing spokespeople for media opportunities.
- Strong organizational, project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within a multinational or matrixed environment.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues across different countries, time zones and functions.
- Fluent Dutch and French, with strong business English.
Preferred Experience
- Recruitment/staffing firm, Big 4, banking/financial services, legal, professional/business services
- Publicly listed firm or large multinational organization with presence across several
geographies around the globe.
- PR Agency background with clients aligned to banking, financial services, recruitment, or other professional services firms.
- Experience working across multiple geographies and time zones
